How to stay ahead of your game

Stay ahead of your game by doing 1, 2 or all of these things:

1 // Reconnect with positive people

The saying ‘you are the average of the people you spend the most time with’ holds more weight to it nowadays, simply because a lot of us don’t have the luxury of time. Who you spend this with can greatly impact how you see the world and how you grow. Take the opportunity to reconnect with positive individuals and really take in what they have to say. Chances are you’ll learn so much from each other, and hey – if you’re catching up over beers and wine it’s guaranteed to be fun!

2 // Explore, Explore, Explore

Discovering new places are the perfect way to activate inspiration. Whether you’re going overseas or road tripping with mates, take the time to explore off the beaten tracks and see where it takes you. As a terrible driver with little to no talent when it comes to directions, I’ll be going off the beaten track in no time, yay!

3 // Go shopping

Yep, you heard me. Shopping is obviously the best therapy and solution to everything, making my treat yourself mantra sing loud and proud. Ask yourself, ‘What do I need to stand out from the crowd?’ Could it be a new set of job interview clothes to look the part? Technology to help launch your business? Whatever it is, there are so many great deals and sales during the holiday season, it’s time to splurge a little!

4 // Do the thing you wanted to do

There’s always something new to learn. Irrespective of your current studies or work, learning new skills will always put you forward in the long run. From small workshops to internships, there are so many great opportunities for you to take and grab by the balls.

Overall, your biggest competition is yourself. You can only stay ahead of the game if you choose to constantly feed your curiosity and surround yourself with supportive and positive people.
