Keynote Speaker
Elena Schamp

Chief Technology Officer


Elena is an accomplished technology executive and strategic solutions provider with 17+ years experience in the ICT industry. Elena holds a Master of Information Technology (MIT) from QUT and a Masters degree in Economics/ Business Administration from the University Osnabrueck of Applied Sciences, Germany. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and is an Executive committee member of the Australian Computer Society.


Elena is the Chief Technology Officer for Cardno, a global Engineering Consulting firm with headquarters in Brisbane. Her main responsibilities are developing Cardno’s IT strategy, advising on IT operations and delivering on the company’s digital program.

Gemma Alker

Gemma Alker is a leading authority in strategic communications focused on orchestrating the vital interchange between education, business and government stakeholders. As a natural connector, storyteller and growth strategist, Gemma is a master in the art of authentic networking with her vast professional network of entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, Ministers, media and philanthropists spanning the globe.


Currently, the Head of Engagement and Partnerships for the Chair in Digital Economy in the QUT Business School, Gemma leads engagement with government and business for commercial research, brand sponsorship, and community engagement.

Lauren Duffy
Marketing Team Lead/Scrum Master

Lauren has over 10 years experience in marketing teams, from non-profits and start ups to global telecom companies, SaaS and ecommerce. Her work has taken her from her home in Scotland, via South Korea, to Australia.


Lauren has built her career from graduate to scrum master through continual learning and building a strong network of colleagues, peers and professionals who have supported, mentored and challenged her.

Captain Karina Harvey
Intelligence Officer

In 2017 CAPT Harvey was posted to the School of Military Engineering as the Second-in-Command of the Geospatial Engineering Wing. This position involved the oversight and management of the Training Troop staff responsible for the delivery of the Army’s entire suite of Geospatial Technician training and promotion courses.


In June 2018 the Geospatial Trade transferred from the Royal Australian Engineer Corps to the Australian Intelligence Corps. Within her role CAPT Harvey was responsible for key parts of transitioning. She regards this posting and the experience gained as her most rewarding posting to date.

Alison Lalieu

Sarah Leach

Typical to her generation, Sarah has diverted from a traditional corporate ladder path, instead opting for a ‘portfolio career’ approach. Since graduating from university in 2008, Sarah has worked in fashion PR, procurement, branding and marketing, and she currently leads a team focusing on innovation and smart city strategy.


Regardless of what role she’s doing or where, Sarah’s two tips for success are authenticity and strong working relationships.

Amy Maynard

Amy Maynard leaders internal communications for Flight Centre Travel Group and its largest retails brand, Flight Centre. She is one of the youngest females operating at this level in the company, advising executive and senior leaders on how to better communicate and engage with employees.


Amy loves mentoring young talent (especially women) and this also sees her tutor in QUT’s Business School. Amy is passionate about communications, design, brand and strategy and holds a Master of Communication Design.

Zhenya Pavlinova
Structural Engineer


Zhenya is a Chartered Structural Engineer with experience across mining, industrial, commercial and residential sectors. Having experience in design, project management and leadership roles in the industry, she is driven by a successful execution and delivery of projects.


Zhenya enjoys promoting the engineering profession to the community and engaging with the industry though her roles as the Deputy Chair of Women in Engineering National Committee, immediate past Chair for Women in Engineering QLD and the Chair of Structural Committee QLD with Engineers Australia.

Lisa Renneisen


Lisa has over 15 years of marketing and product management experience and has worked with several startups in Europe and Australia before taking the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship and joining Nadine as a Co-Founder.


In the office, she is the guru of all things digital, techie or geeky! Made in Adelaide. Move to Brisbane via London. Good Cook. Terrible at Karaoke.
