Melanie Duffy
Digital Marketing Specialist


Melanie is a Digital Marketing Specialist at PickStar, Australia’s largest marketplace to book sport stars for commercial opportunities. She uses data-driven insights to build digital campaigns, UX and ultimately drive fast growth in this tech startup.


After graduating from a degree in Psychology majoring in Marketing, Melanie quickly begun her career in a full service marketing agency before moving over to PickStar at the end of 2018.

Ashleigh Green
Managed Services Lead & Graduate Talent


Ashleigh joined the IT industry in 1998. He has managed local and international vendors to deliver complex technical change. He has gained considering experience across a number of industries including Government, Utilities, Education, Defence, Banking Insurance, Automotive and the Private sector.


Ashleigh currently runs the graduate recruitment and student mentoring programs for an exciting group of Adelaide head quartered companies including; Chamonix, Cortex Interactive & Expose.

Amanda Hudswell
Marketing Manager

Amanda Hudswell is the Marketing Manager at the Office of the South Australian Chief Entrepreneur. She is currently developing a program specifically to grow the capability and networks of founders, while also overseeing strategic partnership for events and sponsorship for the Office.


Amanda has over 19 years’ experience in marketing, digital, communication strategy, event management and public relations, 12 of which were in science and technology communication and four working with startups and entrepreneurs in high-tech sectors.

Verity Kingsmill

Flinders University


As Manager of the Careers & Employability Service at Flinders University, Verity focusses on experiential, innovative and alternative practice based learning, with a background in executive recruitment, training, assessment/development centre methodology and design, and emotional intelligence in practice.

Lisa Renneisen


Lisa has over 15 years of marketing and product management experience and has worked with several startups in Europe and Australia before taking the plunge into the world of entrepreneurship and joining Nadine as a Co-Founder.


In the office, she is the guru of all things digital, techie or geeky! Made in Adelaide. Moved to Brisbane via London. Good Cook. Terrible at Karaoke.

Oliver Shawyer
Sports Marketing & Brand Specialist


Oliver is an experienced and passionate marketer who has a deep fascination on human behaviour and decision-making. His drive, ability and expertise has been acknowledged a few times throughout his career, most notably when being awarded and recognised as one of Australia’s top 30 (under the age of 30) marketers.


Oliver has over a decade of experience that has included both building and running two separate communication agencies in Sydney, Australia.

Graham Smith
Chief Engineer
SAAB Australia


Graham is responsible for developing Saab’s Australian engineering capabilities which deliver superior technical outcomes for customers. Before joining Saab in 2018, he’d held senior leadership roles within various technology organisations including Lockheed Martin Australia, BAE Systems Australia and Motorola.


Graham holds a Bachelor of Computer and Information Science degree and a Graduate Diploma in Management. He’s a fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia; a Chartered Professional Engineer; and past member board director of the RPDE defence-industry-academia organisation.

Dan Thorsland
Director of Business Development & Partnerships
Mighty Kingdom


Dan joined Might Kingdom in 2014 as General Manager, focusing on creating business partnerships with major global brands like Disney, Moose Toys and LEGO, to bring global opportunities into the vibrant creative community in Adelaide. In that time, Mighty Kingdom has grown from 12 to 70 full-time staff, and is reshaping the game development industry in South Australia.


Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of Visual Arts in New York City and from 1986 to 1997 he worked as a comic book editor at DC Comics and Dark Horse Comics.

Nadine is on a mission to facilitate 1,000,000 learning experiences through Bright Humans & generationYOU. She strongly believes in the power of face to face learning and is keen to foster the sharing of knowledge from guru to student in any walk of life.
