We spend our school years and early 20s striving to build foundations for our ‘ideal job’ – yet most of us are unsure of what we actually want to do with our lives. Whilst skills and experience are important – your career starts with YOU!
In our final Inspire session for the year, we will run a career Q&A session with a super panel of local legends. They will briefly talk about their experiences in the workplace and will be available to any answer questions you might have on career management, negotiation, building confidence, work life balance, dealing with challenges & anything else you can think of!
Irrespective of whether your perfect career is as a rocket scientist, barista, sock designer, prime minister, volunteer, coder or manager – your career is in your hands!

About genYOU Inspire
genYOU Inspire is a series of short events that aim to help Brisbane’s young people unleash their potential at work and in life. Now in its second year, the genYOU Inspire series helps young people to stand out of the crowd by giving them the chance to learn additional traits, attitudes and skills which are necessary to thrive in the workplace.
Through the genYOU Inspire Series we are able to connect students with Industry legends who share #NoFilter advice on entering the workplace and the skills they need to create and manage a successful career.
Please Note: genYOU Inspire is open to students (uni), graduates or young professionals looking to get ahead with their career (roughly speaking 17-25 year olds). Worried you don’t fit the bill? Drop us a line on email@example.com and we will be happy to answer your questions.
Who is generationYOU?
Over the past 4 years, generationYOU has created a thriving community of young people: students, graduates, young professionals, school leavers and dreamers, with one thing in common >> a strong desire to unleash their potential at work (and in life)!
Our role is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge from the experienced (think managers, mentors and entrepreneurs) with Australia’s youth.
We do this through original content, events & conferences and an online digital program. The focus is on employability, entrepreneurship, skills development and career management which will not only benefit young adults themselves, but also their employers and communities.
