Linh Diep, Account Manager, Publicis Worldwide

 

Linh is pursuing her passion for bringing ideas to life, as an Account Manager at Publicis Worldwide, a full-service creative advertising agency in Brisbane and part of the global network Publicis Groupe.

 

Her clients include; Queensland Department of Health, Sanofi Pharmaceuticals and Foot Locker. A self-diagnosed Yes-Woman, she volunteers extensively and currently chairs, Youngbloods Queensland & is the founder of the Assisterhood program – a creative industry initiative that connects female mentors and mentees.

 

During her studies, she was the founding president of UQMAS – UQ’s Advertising and Marketing Society and volunteered extensively across university and industry groups to build relationships.

Isaac Holmyard, Director – Australia and Southeast Asia, Second Century Ventures | REach® Accelerator 

 

As a Director for Second Century Ventures | REach® Accelerator for Australia and Southeast Asia, Isaac works directly with some of the countries top proptech scale ups and knows what it takes to scale a company globally. Prior to becoming Director, Isaac was the General Manager for Fishburners, Australia’s largest community of tech startups with physical locations in Brisbane, Sydney and Shanghai.

 

Isaac has been an active builder of the Australia startup ecosystem and has a renowned reputation for growing startup/innovation communities. Prior to Fishburners, Isaac was the Partnerships Manager at QUT Creative Enterprise Australia, managing multi-million dollar partnerships with key stakeholders nationally and internationally (US, UK and Australia).

Who is generationYOU?

Over the past 4 years, generationYOU has created a thriving community of young people: students, graduates, young professionals, school leavers and dreamers, with one thing in common >> a strong desire to unleash their potential at work (and in life)!

 

Our role is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge from the experienced (think managers, mentors and entrepreneurs) with Australia’s youth.

 

We do this through original content, events & conferences and an online digital program. The focus is on employability, entrepreneurship, skills development and career management which will not only benefit young adults themselves, but also their employers and communities.

Can I still attend if I'm not a student, recent graduate or millennial?

Whilst our genYOU Inspire series has been specifically designed for millennials (17 – 25), we welcome all attendees who don’t necessarily fall into that category! If you are not quite sure if genYOU Inspire is right for you, or are thinking about sending a group of attendees to our events, please drop us a line on hello@generationyou.com.au and we will be happy to help you out.

Does it matter what degree I'm studying?

Regardless of your degree or ideal job, our sessions are applicable to everyone! Our sessions cover skills that everyone needs regardless of their future or current role.

Where will it be held?

All of our genYOU Inspire sessions will be held at Brisbane’s premiere creative and start-up hub, The Capital, located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD.

When will the sessions be held?

Session 1 // April 10th: Mastering job applications

Session 2 // June 23rd: Growing and nurturing your network

Session 3 // July 24th: Building an outstanding personal brand

Session 4 // September 12th: Career management panel

How much does it cost?

Our genYOU Inspire events are free! This is made possible by our partner Brisbane City Council, who is committed to nurturing innovation and investing in a strong economy with more jobs right across Brisbane.

What else is included in the sessions?

If you arrive at the beginning of our events (5.30pm), you will be treated to nibbles and the opportunity to meet other attendees! Throughout our sessions we also facilitate structured networking.

I can't make it for the whole session, can I still come?

Absolutely. Whilst we would love for you to join us for the whole session, we understand that sometimes you have commitments that just can’t move. You will be able to arrive late to a session and leave early.

I registered for a session but can no longer make it, what do I do?

Oh man! We would’ve loved for you to attend, but we understand. As we do have a limit on attendees, if you could let us know as soon as possible that you can no longer make it – we can register the next person on the waiting list!

Is there a dress code?

There isn’t a strict dress code to abide by, however wearing smart casual attire is definitely the recommended outfit of the day … AKA dress for comfort with a little bit of style!

Do I need to bring anything?

If you’d like to bring a notepad, pens or more snacks and drinks (non-alcoholic), by all means go for it!
